I’m Alena, proud mummy of Harrison, Ella and our little dog Falco. I’m originally from Slovakia but have lived in the UK since 1994. I met my husband Paul in 2001 and we spent the next ten years travelling every continent in the world.
When Harrison and Ella came on the scene we were determined that we’d carry on travelling and my husband began his career as a freelance travel journalist just as I ended mine (I was a designer at a well known menswear company for ten years).
I’ve been a full time mummy since 2013 and I’m more than happy to stay that way for the time being. I’m busy enough bringing up the kids, walking Falco a gazzillion times a day, managing my husband’s clients and working on my blog. I also satisfy my own creative instincts by making clothes for the kids and knitting.
